KEEP YOUR CHAIR LOOKING ITS BEST
With regular care and maintenance, your LIFEFORM® Chair will provide many years of superior performance and satisfaction. To maintain the quality of your LIFEFORM® chair, please follow the cleaning guidelines here for our different upholsteries.
NATURALLY FINISHED LEATHERS

Harness, Brighton, Contarni, Providence
Naturally, finished leathers offer the softest touch due to the limited amount of processing necessary to turn these hides into quality leather. Similar to the grain found in wood, leather has a myriad of natural markings in it, unique to each hide. These appear as a result of healed scars, wrinkles and differences in grain. Any inherent variations in the texture are not masked or concealed. Instead, they are celebrated and highlighted. As each year passes, the leather will acquire a rich and beautiful patina that has a wealth of charm and character all of its own.

Dust Periodically
Dust is a drying agent for leather.

Limit Direct Sunlight
Exposure to extended periods of sunlight can fade and discolour the leather.

Contain The Stain
For spills, contain as quickly as possible. For stubborn stains, clean using the Moore & Giles leather cleaner.

Maintain
Conditioner is recommended every 6 – 12 months.
NORMAL CARE
Under normal usage conditions regular dusting is all that is necessary to clean your chair. The use of our specially formulated Leather Conditioner is recommended every 6 – 12 months.
FOR MINOR SPOTS AND SPILLS
Wipe any excess liquid up immediately with a clean absorbent cloth or sponge. If necessary use a lightly moistened soft cloth with clean lukewarm water and let air-dry naturally. If water is used clean the entire area where the spot occurred (for example, the entire seat or arm pad). Do not use soap and do not soak the stain heavily with water. This may cause more damage than the stain itself.
FOR STUBBORN STAINS
If the stain persists it is recommended to use our recommended Leather Cleaner, specially formulated for our Natural Leather,
followed by our recommended Leather Conditioner. Alternatively, we recommend hiring a professional leather specialist to clean the chair and avoid any potential damage to the leather.
FOR BUTTER, OIL OR GREASE
Wipe excess butter, oil or grease off the leather with a clean dry cloth, then leave it alone as the spot should dissipate into the leather after a short period of time. Do not apply water or try to wash a butter, oil or grease spot.
DO NOT USE
Saddle soap, cleaning solvents, furniture polish, oils, varnish, abrasive cleaners, detergent soaps, ammonia water or any non recommended leather cleaners or conditioners.
Note: These are recommended or suggested methods of cleaning. Always try any cleaning method in a hidden area to convince yourself of the results. LIFEFORM® is not responsible for damage incurred while cleaning. Like any upholstery material, all leathers can fade to some degree if exposed to the sun or direct light. Protect your furniture from the sun and direct light.
WAXED FINISHED LEATHERS
Mont Blanc, Echo
Waxed finish leathers have a top layer of wax applied to give the leather an aged rugged look. All natural markings are evident in these leathers. Like a pair of your favourite boots, these leathers will age gracefully over the years.

PROTECTED FINISHED LEATHERS
Tribeca, Odyssey
Protected finish leathers, as the name implies, have a protective pigmented finish coat applied to their surface. This helps protect the leather from stains and improve the consistency of color from hide to hide. These leathers combine softness with ease of care, and they are ideal for young families and pets or high traffic areas. Some natural markings will still be evident. (An exception is Odyssey, our Standard Leather, which is Corrected Top Grain Leather. Corrected leather has been imprinted with an imitation leather grain to conceal its natural markings, providing a completely uniform texture and appearance).
